Equipment and services the LoF have provided

Throughout the years the League of Friends have raised funds to support the RSH in a number of different areas. Since being formed in 1964 we have been able to provide a variety of equipment and services to various departments throughout the hospital, including:

  • ENT diagnostic equipment;
  • physiotherapy equipment including treadmill, foot drop stimulators and back pain treatment kits;
  • audiology diagnostic and treatment equipment;
  • specialist patient beds;
  • provision and installation of wheelchair lifts;
  • a number of refurbishments to hospital wards, and provision of new furniture for visitors and patient recovery;
  • various patient and visitor comforts such as provision of ward telephones, televisions and radios;
  • conversion of a multi-faith prayer room.
